Christopher Lutzke - Week 1 Sculpture

Week 1 Sculpture

For my first sculpture I wanted to create something that as you look at it, you can see how it was made, which is how i see some of Richard Tuttle's work. I used cardboard, paper rope, and wire.

Week 2 Sculpture

For this week's sculpture, I wanted to challenge myself and use one type of material. I used paper tape and tried a simple pattern on the wall. I was thinking about Tuttle's idea with wire, but wanted to used something other than wire.

Week 3 Sculpture

This week sculpture I decided to only use a paper towel and have it heavy texturized. As I hanged it on the wall I looked at the texture, forms, and folds in which for me felt as if the paper towel as transformed into a different type of material.

Week 4 Sculpture

This sculpture I focused on Tuttle's many wire sculpture that plays with shadows.

Week 5 Sculpture

I took last week idea of a wire and decided to use chicken wire and fold it in a high concentrated space. I love how the shadows gives the form and new layer.

Week 6 Sculpture

Simular with last sculpture, decided to add an object (paper towel tube). I then wrapped the wires the same way you see the pattern on the paper towel tube. I like how the shadows are formed by the sculpture.

Week 7 Sculpture

I colored a ball of white paper towel and had chicken wire wrap around it like it was a container.

Week 8 Sculpture

having a small block of wood, wanted it to be covered with some light mesh material and played with the folds till I find one I like. I pierced it with a nail and hanged it on the wall.

Week 9 Sculpture

Wonder what would Tuttle's shelf would look like...

Week 10 Sculpture

Used cardboard, brown paper towel, and wood glue. I wanted to play around with the pattern based on the cardboard.

Week 11 Sculpture

I wanted to play with paint for this project, So I create an abstract painting on a brown paper towel, and incorporated wires to play with the painting.
